From a dark green vase the tree of life fans out and blossoms into an arched crown crowded with red flowers and forest green leaves: the Mezzaro Sultan Red reinterprets the palace gardens of the Mughal era, where the flowering tree was a wish for abundance and celebration. A cream ground, flowering shrubs beside the vase and a border of sage green bands with large red flowers.
Designed in Italy and hand printed in India on 100% cotton, it is made with the traditional technique of block printing: each colour is pressed by hand with its own carved wooden block.
Ideal as a bedspread, sofa throw or table cover, it is also beautiful hung on the wall like a tapestry. A warm, lively red that goes beautifully with terracotta, wood and brass.

Product Features
All our Mezzari are finished with an elegant matching cotton cord or with a printed cotton border. Our products are handwoven and hand-printed with predominantly natural dyes. Small imperfections are a guarantee of a handmade product.
Washing
Machine wash cotton in cold water or at 30 degrees Celsius, using a mild detergent. When used as a tablecloth, for more stubborn stains, pre-treat with a mild stain remover and wash as directed above.
